We extend an invitation to church members and non-church members alike to come be a part of the community of excellence, and authenticity found in the Music Ministry. To become a part of a Music Ministry group, contact the Minister of Music, Tom Eggleston.
The four-fold purpose of the music ministry:
The Sanctuary Choir seeks to be lead worshippers. They enjoy learning and singing congregational hymns and anthems twice each month. The choir meets on Sunday mornings from 10:00am - 10:50am. The fall season begins with a choir retreat in mid-August (a Friday & Saturday). They sing a wide variety of anthem styles including classical, gospel, spirituals, traditional, modern and hymn arrangements. Seasonal presentations are presented at Christmas (December), Easter (March/April) and a Hymn Tunes and Spirituals service in the fall (September). No auditions are required. We do require a love of singing and expressing God’s love through music.
Our handbell choir performs during seasonal presentations at Christmas and Easter and a few other special occasions during the year. They rehearse during the fall and spring on Sundays at 12:15pm following our morning worship services. A simple audition is required because reading a musical score is necessary.
We welcome all instrumentalists to play in our ensemble. We accompany hymns every other Sunday in our worship service. We rehearse once a month.
Children's Choir & Activities will consist of the following including:
Programming for monthly Sunday activity (following Sunday Service):
We utilize a number of pianists and instrumentalists (children, youth, and adults) on a rotating basis beginning at 10:50am before our 11:00am worship service. Please let our Minister of Music know if you have an interest in participating in this ministry. An audition is required.
We offer scholarship positions of $2000 that provide an opportunity to sing with a growing choir, worship with a diverse and loving church family, and to use your talents in a great music ministry.
